SG:SW 2024 I Write The Songs

SG:SW I Write The Songs’ is a nationwide Mandopop songwriting festival organized by Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS), Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre and Ocean Butterflies Music, which provides a platform to uncover and cultivate the next generation of original local music talent.  

After four months of rigorous screening and mentorship, the Top 10 finalists of this year’s SG:SW I Write The Songs have emerged and will be taking the stage of Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Far East Organisation Auditorium, for SG:SW 2024 ‘Finale Concert’ on 16 November at 4:00PM.

The judging panel will pick seven winners for the following awards: Best Song, Lyrics (Merit), Melody (Merit), Best Vocal Performance, Best Performing Band, Popularity (Public Voting), and “SCCC Xchange” for compositions with multi-cultural elements. The panel consists renowned Music Producer Zennon Goh, producer-songwriter maestro Lee Wei Song, renowned Taiwanese lyricist Adam Hsu, veteran media personality and lyricist Dr. Ng King Kang, and renowned Taiwanese producer-songwriter Roger Yo. 

There will also be guest performances by local singer-songwriter and SG:SW 2024 Ambassador Sherman Zhuo, and singer-songwriter Boon Hui Lu.
